Terms of Service
Effective date: October 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use Homestretch, a service of Onyx Haven Labs ("we," "us"), and the website at onyxhavenlabs.com/homestretch. By submitting a project or paying for one, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Homestretch finishes partly built web apps. You send us your GitHub repository (read access) and describe what "done" means. We review it and quote a flat price. If you approve and pay, AI agents finish and test your app, with a human overseeing the work. Our deliverables are a pull request (or fork/branch) with the finished code, a deploy guide (DEPLOY.md) with one-command steps and required environment variable names (never secret values), a summary of changes, and—when feasible—a temporary demo preview hosted on our infrastructure using fake/demo data (removed after handoff). We do not deploy into your hosting, cloud, or DNS accounts, and we do not request those credentials or your production API keys.
2. Quote first, then payment
- Submitting the intake form is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
- We review your repo and email you a written scope with a flat price. Prices are currently in tiers ($49, $149, $299). Your quote states the exact price.
- Work begins only after you approve the scope and pay through the Stripe payment link we send you. The approved scope is what we've agreed to deliver ("Quoted Scope").
- We may decline any project, for example one that is too large, unclear, unlawful, or outside our capabilities.
3. Founding discounts
While spots last, the first 5 qualifying projects are free, the next 5 are 75% off, and the next 10 are 50% off. Each email address can get only one discounted project. Discounts apply to the quoted price, can't be exchanged for cash, and are assigned in the order intake submissions arrive. We may refuse a discount if we see abuse, such as one person using several email addresses.
4. Payment
Stripe processes payments. We don't receive or store your card number. Prices are in U.S. dollars. You are responsible for any taxes that apply. Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's terms.
5. Refunds
- If we can't deliver the Quoted Scope, you get a full refund.
- If you change your mind before work begins, ask us and we'll consider a refund. Refunds at that stage are at our discretion, and we aim to be fair.
- Once we have delivered the Quoted Scope, payments are not refundable. We will still fix problems where what we delivered doesn't match the agreed scope.
To request a refund, email homestretch@onyxhavenlabs.com.
6. Your responsibilities and promises
- You promise that you own your repository and its contents, or have the right to share them with us and let us change them. You also promise that doing so doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights.
- You'll give us GitHub read access and the non-secret information we reasonably need (such as your preferred platform name), and you'll answer our questions promptly. You will not send us production API keys, passwords, or access to hosting/cloud/DNS accounts.
- You won't ask us to build anything unlawful, harmful, or infringing.
- You are responsible for merging our pull request, deploying the app, and for your own hosting, domain, database, payment, and other third-party accounts. That includes their costs, configuration, security, content, data, legal compliance, secrets, and ongoing maintenance after delivery.
7. Your code and deliverables
You keep ownership of your code. We don't claim ownership of your repository. Once you have paid in full, or the project was free under a founding discount, you own the deliverables we create for your project—typically the pull request (or equivalent branch/fork), DEPLOY.md, and related documentation. Optional temporary previews on our infrastructure are not a production host and may be removed after handoff. We use your code only to do the work. We use AI and coding tools to process it, as described in our Privacy Policy. Third-party libraries and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses. We may reuse general know-how and non-confidential techniques we learn along the way, but never your code or confidential information.
8. No guarantees beyond the Quoted Scope
We'll do the work carefully and professionally. We promise to deliver the Quoted Scope, nothing more. We don't guarantee business results, traffic, revenue, uptime, or that your app will be free of every bug or security issue. Apart from that commitment, the service and deliverables are provided "as is" and "as available," and to the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to Homestretch or a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, even if we were told they were possible.
10. Termination
Either of us can end a project by email. If we end it before delivering the Quoted Scope, you get a full refund. If you end it after work has begun, refunds are at our discretion as described in Section 5. We may suspend or refuse service if you break these Terms. Sections 6–9 and 11 continue to apply after a project ends.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida. Before taking any formal action, we both agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by email first.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the effective date. The Terms in effect when you approved a quote apply to that project.
